Breeding fee is (Private

booking fee of
$250 (included in
breeding fee) is due and
payable with this
contract and is
nonrefundable (unless
stallion dies or becomes
unfit for breeding
before mare has been
bred in contract
year). Balance of
breeding fee ($_______)
is to be paid when mare
leaves ranch or before
semen will be shipped if
shipment is requested.
Shipped semen is $100
plus freight per
shipment.
All fees must be paid
before semen will be
shipped. Pay Pal,
Cashier Check, Personal
Check (must be sent in
time to clear bank.)
Request for shipment of
semen should be made on
the day preceding the
shipping day.
Occasionally requests
may be accepted on the
morning of shipping
day.
If mare is to be bred at
ranch mare care is $10
per day.
It is agreed that the
stallion owners (Fayra
L. and Thomas P. Staas
or any other persons)
shall not be
held responsible for
accident, sickness or
death to the contract
mare and foal at side
and that no liability
will be held against
this breeding farm,
stallion owner, agent or
any employees of the
breeding farm. The mare
owner will not be held
responsible for any
accident or injury to
the stallion or other
mares.
During the course of her
stay, if contract mare
should need veterinary
or farrier attention
every attempt will be
made to contact mare
owner/lessor before
services rendered, any
and all emergencies take
exception.
Any veterinary expense,
farrier expense, extra
care or supply expense
is the responsibility of
the mare owner and is
due and payable the day
the mare leaves the
breeding farm or monthly
if mare stays longer
than a month.
In order to qualify for
the “Live Foal
Guarantee” the mare
owner must rebred either
in the current breeding
contract season or the
following year. The
following year is
subject to that year’s
booking fee. If the mare
owner fails
to rebreed mare by the
following year then any
and all fees paid shall
not be refundable and
this contract is thereby
canceled. A replacement
mare may be substituted
or original mare can be
rebred, but this can
only be done if stallion
owner is given a report
from a licensed
veterinarian that the
original contract mare
did not produce a live
foal and why. (Either
aborted, foal born dead,
or mare never
conceived)
Certification from a
veterinarian of ultra
sound to confirm
pregnancy or open mare
are due no later
than 18-25 days after
the last day the mare
was bred.
The mare owner shall
provide this breeding
farm with a copy of
mare’s registration
papers and if possible a
pedigree and a complete
breeding history and
medical record on the
mare when submitting
this contract for
acceptance to breed to
above mentioned
stallion.
The original pre printed
registration
applications will be
sent upon notification
of live foal. Breeding
certificates can be
issued upon request when
all fees are paid and
mare is confirmed
pregnant if needed. |
