We hereby agree to breed the mare_______________________________________

A booking fee of $200 is due and payable with this contract and is nonrefundable unless stallion becomes unfit before mare was bred. 

The balance of the breeding fee ($800) is due and payable the day the mare leaves the breeding farm, unless payments have been arranged.                                   
            
In order to qualify for the "Live Foal Guarantee" the mare owner must bring the mare back to be rebred either in the current breeding contract season or the following year. Certification from a veterinarian is required. The following year is subject to that year’s booking fee. If the mare owner fails to deliver the mare for breeding by the following year then any and all fees paid shall not be refundable and this contract is thereby canceled

Certification from a veterinarian of palpation or ultra sound to confirm pregnancy or open mare is due no later than 18-25 days after the last day the mare was covered by the stallion.

The mare owner shall provide this breeding farm with a copy of mare’s registration papers and if possible a pedigree and a complete breeding history and medical record on the mare when submitting this contract for acceptance to breed to above mentioned stallion.

It is further agreed and understood that the stallion owners (Fayra L. and Tom P. Staas) shall not be held responsible for accident, sickness, or death to the contract mare and foal at side and that no liability will be held against this breeding farm, stallion owner, agent or any employees of the breeding farm.  The mare owner will not be held responsible for any accident or injury to the stallion or other mares.

During the course of her stay, if contract mare should need veterinary or farrier attention every attempt will be made to contact mare owner/lessor before services rendered, any and all emergencies take exception.

Any veterinary expense, farrier expense, extra care or supply expense is the responsibility of the mare owner and due and payable the day the mare leaves the breeding farm or monthly if mare stays longer than a month. 

The daily mare care fee is $5 to $10.00 daily. This mare care expense is due and payable the day the mare leaves the breeding farm or monthly if mare stays longer than a month.

Pre Printed Registration Certificates will be issued when all fees are paid and mare has a live foal. Breeders certificates can be issued by request if needed and mare is confirmed in foal by a vet. 

All mares arriving at this breeding farm must be current on all vaccinations.

All hind shoes must be pulled.
